This is the first time I have viewed this drawing of Mrs. Surratt in the Death Cell. Please identify each person in the drawing.

Remember that these drawings were mainly just the imagination of the artists. I don’t believe this was based on actual events. For sure, Mary was joined in her cell by her spiritual advisors, Father Wiget and Father Walter. Anna may have been with her mother sometime prior to the execution, but was not present at the arsenal when her mother was killed. She was at the White House trying to speak with Johnson.
